How does Microsoft Surface 2.0 work?

Surface 2.0 is a computer with an advanced Windows 7 multi-touch screen. Although the first version of Microsoft Surface worked with infrared cameras, the latest variant uses a technique called “Pixel Sense.” This means that each pixel touches and detects objects. The display is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass, allowing the table to withstand a lot of violence.

Microsoft Surface 2.0 specifications

The new version of Surface is powered by a multicore CPU and GPU from AMD. Microsoft’s Windows 7 powers the new Surface. Samsung manufactures the device in partnership with Microsoft and the new model is just 4″ thick. Due to the new size of the Surface 2, customers have the option of mounting it vertically. The new camera technology “Pixel Sense" is better and offers more objects / touch recognition. The improved hardware specifications and faster operating system (Windows 7 instead of Vista) provide a smoother and better user experience. The top part of Microsoft’s Surface 2 uses the biggest piece of gorilla glass that has ever been bonded to an LCD.
